A New Wave of Intimate Luxury: Davika & Chantavit’s Wedding at Home

In the wedding world so much depends on the choice of the venue, that it can arguably be one of the most important decisions couples have to make during their planning journey.
And we’re now noticing a quiet but meaningful shift in the approach taken by some of our clientele –  there is a growing desire for ceremonies that feel private, heartfelt, and deeply personal. Oftentimes, these are celebrations held not in grand hotels or beachfront venues, but within the walls of one’s own home. And in a country blessed with beautiful architecture, lush gardens, and homes designed for family gatherings, this approach feels both natural and deeply resonant.

Many of our couples in Thailand have residences that already hold so much character: airy modern villas, classic Thai family homes, expansive gardens. When someone reaches out to host their wedding in such a space, it immediately sparks excitement within our team. There is something incredibly special about transforming a place already filled with memories into the backdrop for a new chapter.

Davika and Chantavit embraced this idea fully. For one of Thailand’s most beloved couples, the choice to celebrate at home made perfect emotional sense — a place that felt safe, familiar, and meaningful, yet capable of being elevated into something extraordinary. Their wedding was a beautiful example of how a private residence can be transformed into a celebration space without losing its intimacy.

Their ceremony was far from minimal. It was grand, elegant, and meticulously crafted, with layers of draping that softened the architecture and abundant florals that created a sense of refined romance. The production was complex, yet nothing felt excessive; every detail was intentional, designed to complement the space rather than overpower it. The home became a canvas that held all the emotion of the day — from the slow, serene monk blessing ceremony to the grand vow exchange, all with the warmth of the close family and friends surrounding them.

What we loved most about this wedding is how naturally it demonstrated the versatility of at-home celebrations. A residence gives couples the freedom to shape the day exactly as they imagine — from quiet rituals to grand moments. In Davika and Chantavit’s case, every experience they valued was woven seamlessly into the home’s layout: a serene morning blessing, a Western ceremony with an aisle long enough to feel cinematic, a stylish photo backdrop, a reception overlooking the pool, and a home beautifully wrapped with draping that transformed the façade into a majestic stately palace. They enjoyed a Sangria-tower moment, a statement cake display, and all the joyful details that usually belong to a large venue — effortlessly brought into the comfort of their own space.

That is the true charm of a wedding at one’s residence, it feels inherently personal. For couples seeking privacy, comfort, and a sense of emotional depth, a home wedding becomes a natural choice, and in Thailand, the beauty of our residences makes this concept even more compelling.
