Can any wedding be more heart-warming than the one held at your family home? Especially when it’s a country house nestled near a peaceful, natural site, such as Khao Yai natural reserve in central Thailand. That was the case for a beautiful couple, Parn and Knot, whose wedding we organized this January. Private residence belonging to the groom became a perfect setting for a soulful celebration, with a few events planned throughout the day.
The morning started with a traditional Thai ceremony, incorporating Buddhist and cultural traditions, such as pre-wedding games and water blessing ceremony. With the focus on the raw beauty of the area, tropical flora, and dry evergreen forests; decor mainly focused on greenery with the addition of native to Thailand, orchids, and roses.
Incorporating a western tradition, the bride and the groom later exchanged their vows under a beautiful wedding canopy. Wooden base touched up with some climbing greenery, and white blooms looked natural in their already beautiful lush garden. For a little more festive touch, a combination of deep blue and gold was introduced as the dress code reference.
The reception welcomed the guests with long tables dressed in blue and gold, echoing with the stated color theme. Floral elements included decorative grass in natural gold hues, accompanied by dusty green leaves and roses on the sides. Tall candelabras with taper candles added festivity and solemnity to the mood.
Khao Yai is a wonderfully fresh and beautiful destination for a wedding. Its subtle beauty is yet to be discovered by the world, and it’s now a perfect chance to celebrate the most important day in your life as a couple in a truly unique environment.
