Soft spring sun was slowly setting into glistening waters of the Andaman sea while a romantic song was playing in the background. A gorgeous bride walking along the aisle to meet the love of her life at the altar, and share their intimate, meaningful vows, witnessed by the only closest of friends. Getting married beside the sea was a dream for a young rising HK TV star, Ms. Wong Hong Kiu. Together with her fiancé Jesper, they chose to celebrate their wedding in Phuket for easy accessibility from Hong Kong, impeccable 5-star services, and beautiful locations. To ensure privacy, they decided to hold a wedding in a private villa on spacious and quiet Natai beach, just a 15-minute drive from north Phuket.
Very feminine and romantic, Hong Kiu wanted her wedding day to reflect that and also look impressive. We knew she was a fan of the “Alice in Wonderland” book, and that hit us up on the idea of creating a whimsical garden wedding, full of flowers and magical light.
Framing the seafront lawn with an open structure allowed us to play with decoration at various levels, focusing on standing and hanging flowers. White for purity and lightness, pink to sprinkle the romance around, greenery to further enhance the garden vibe. A touch of gold added an element of luxury, further supported by a row of crystal chandeliers.
After the most important words have been said, Hong Kiu and Jesper, followed by the bridal party, headed to the beach for sunset portraits. In the meantime, their guests were treated with signature Thai hospitality; delicious food, and refreshing cocktails. The welcome area with photo props and glittering temporary tattoos quickly became another success among the crowd.
This was the time for The Wedding Bliss to create our magic, and in just one hour we turned the space around, and as the sun had sunk into the sea, the guests returned to the lawn area where under enchanting lights we set long tables with lush flower arrangements all around. Roses played a major role, and even though a lot of brides try to cut down on roses nowadays, giving their preferences to more trendy options. However, using roses here turned out to be one of the best styling decisions, and lush centerpieces along with single roses on each of the guests’ plates created a truly elegant and classy look.
The night was marked with many touching speeches and finished with a spectacular fire show and fireworks. Isn’t that dreamy?
