Will and Jen met one night in Sydney, — hanging out at a bar, having fun with their own friends, not yet knowing that, that night they would meet the person they will later share their vows with, almost 10 years later, in a gorgeous wedding in Thailand. Their story might have started when they were really young, but they clicked right away. Australia, USA, Europe, — they keep exploring the world together, currently calling Amsterdam their home, and always remembering to have fun together. That is also how they wanted their wedding to be: fun, playful, romantic, and full of that young creative energy.
Love is everywhere. Indeed, you could feel it very easily on Will and Jen’s wedding day. From the moment their guests stepped into the villa, they found themselves surrounded by warmth and love from the bride and the groom, their family, and everyone gathered. Heart-shaped sunnies were sourced as a wedding favor, complemented by a nice set of white beach hats, both turning out to be a real success. Since both Jen and Will appreciate a delicious and soulful meal, their guest book was made into a cookbook, with actual recipes from family and friends all over the world.
Jen looked absolutely gorgeous in her Pallas Couture gown, with simple yet so elegant and luscious hair and makeup. Jen is a girl of intuition, and picking a dress was another chance for her to trust her senses — she purchased it online, without any prior fitting, and couldn’t be happier in the end! As it’s said — the best things in life just happen.
With such a gorgeous couple, we needed a truly outstanding photographer to capture their story, and we were honored to work with Kristy and Ken from Blush Photography. They flew over to Thailand all the way from Canada and took the most fantastic images one could ever expect!
Instead of first showing up at the ceremony, Jen and Will decided to do a first look, and later, it turned out to be one of their favorite moments of the day. It is often quite hard to set such an intimate moment for the bride and the groom on their wedding day, with so many people around them waiting to sincerely congratulate the newlyweds. The first look is a perfect chance to sneak out and share these emotional minutes with each other. Jen and Will exchanged letters and read them standing back to back, without seeing each other’s faces, but feeling each other’s presence. It’s priceless moments like this that stay in our memory forever, after all.
With their bubbly personality, our newlyweds wanted colorful decor, to highlight the warm atmosphere of the day. As their wedding planner, we came up with a happy color combination of bright fuchsia, orange, and peach, with lots of natural green elements, and white for a nice neutral tint. Light turquoise brought in another color accent for dinner setting, playing it well with little golden elements — hand-made turtle place settings, made by the bride and the groom’s close friends, that all guests got to keep as a reminder of that wonderful day.
When the time came for the party, this group were pros! They hit the dance floor with vigorous energy, later taking the celebration to the pool. Just look at happy Jen jumping into the pool in her gorgeous dress, can there be a cooler finale of the wedding day?
