Models are the new age celebrities nowadays, and we couldn’t possibly miss the wedding of Ana Beatriz Barros, a Brazilian model and a former Victoria’s Secret Angel, and Egyptian-Greek businessman Karim El Chiaty in Mykonos, Greece. As we all know, wedding destination and venue are the most important choices to make for your wedding day, and Mykonos has an outstanding significance for Ana and Karim, — this is where they spend their summer holidays with family, enjoying a very special vibe and energy of this island. Despite a large scale of the wedding, with 400 guests flying from all over the world, the couple kept a relaxed boho-chic vibe to the event, yet with a very sophisticated feel. The celebration took place over 2 days: a wedding ceremony and official reception dinner hosted on Day 1, and a more casual and relaxed celebration with a Brazilian-themed party the following day.
Ana was very particular about picking her gowns and chose to walk down the aisle in a tailor-made Valentino dress, in elegant lace, with flow skirt and feminine off-the-shoulder sleeves, perfectly fitting into boho aesthetics of the celebration. This sporty couple tied the knot twice over 2 days: first in a civil ceremony in Venice City Hall, followed by a gorgeous church ceremony the next day in Misericordia Church in Venice. Stunning Serbian tennis star Ana wore a beautiful strapless gown with an impressively long train for the main ceremony in the church, glowing with her natural, ‘almost-no-make-up’ look and charming smile. Her now-husband, Bastian Schweinsteiger, a famous German footballer and the captain of the national team, was absolute dapper, and couldn’t look happier as he took his new wife to their exclusive water taxi for further celebrations.
The guest list was kept top secret, and the guests did not even know the location for the ceremony, — all they were told was to arrive in Venice airport a day prior to the celebration.
Eva Longoria and Jose ‘Pepe’ Baston
Eva Longoria is a woman adored by many, and her new hubby Jose Antonio Baston is definitely a lucky man! The couple tied the knot in their home garden close to Mexico city, surrounded by 80 closest friends, including an array of celebrities: Victoria and David Beckham, Ricky Martin, Mario Lopez and Melanie Griffith were all in attendance.
