When it comes to love, nothing is rational and everything is beautiful. Nicholas and Reaw had only known each other for less than a year when they decided to get married. Seeing them together, it’s easy to realize they’re perfect for each other: strong personalities, strive for perfection, and passion for life. They share their interests in life, which among everything else includes traveling and exploring new places, good food and good wine.
Nicholas and Reaw also love staying in grandiose hotels, and after a movie-worth proposal at St.Regis New York overlooking Central Park, their wedding venue was destined to be something special. Their choice is a destination wedding in the YL property in Koh Samui, a widespread luxury private villas complex located right in front of a quiet beach. Very clean and crisp design and big space allowed our team to get creative with the design and add a touch of floral sophistication to their big day.
The decor was intended to be classy and sophisticated, yet it had to reflect the couple’s personalities: light, elegant and simple. As their favourite color, white played a lead, and the right combination of luxurious Phalaenopsis, native Thai orchids and imported greens made a dreamy setting. The altar was made of lush flower arrangements on transparent stands, so the flowers seemed to be floating in the air.
The bride’s look was fully created by her mother, a talented designer, who has been making outfits for her daughter since she was little. Rings were also custom-made. This fact made Nicholas and Reaw’s personal wedding ceremony even more so touching. And, when they said their vows to each other, we’re almost sure there was no a dry eye there.
As Reaw was walking down the aisle with her godfather, we could hear the admiration sigh among the guests; she was so beautiful.
The ceremony was followed by a lounge cocktail reception with a live jazz music. We kept the setting simple and elegant with white lounge seating on the lawn.
In the meantime, our amazing photographers took the advantage of golden hour to take amazing portraits of the couple, who seem to never have enough of each other and enjoying each other’s company more than anything in the world.
Dinner decor supported the main concept as well. Attention focus was definitely on the heavy floral chandeliers — a magical creation of the florists’ team, that made all the guests to say wow. Gorgeous Phalaenopsis orchids were the key element in all arrangements continuing the decor line set from the ceremony. We kept the structure and draping very light to let more air into the area. Fairy lights only added to this visionary scene, and the area looked truly magical under the moonlit sky. We added a touch of sophistication with a mirror seating plan and silver accents in table setting.
There was lots of dancing and amazing performance by a talented band as the night continued. Guests also enjoyed a customized dessert bar and spectacular fireworks before hitting the dancefloor.
